Does it take two to tango when it comes to your marketing and branding game?
When it comes to relationships, we're taught it takes two people to make a relationship. For the most part, that's a really true but when it comes to the relationships that you're making through your impressions, does it really take two people?
Kind of yeah, but kind of no. Here's why.
You are in total control of the impressions that you make.
Personally, professionally, for your brand, you are in total control about this. What are you going after? What matters to you? You are in control of all of this. But most of us aren't being intentional about the impressions we make.
So you, yes you, can begin to change the types of relationships that you're having by just simply being more intentional about the impressions that you make.
Now it's not about going back and fixing the past because for the most part we can't. But it is about moving forward. Making sure that all the video that we do, all the photos that we pose, all the selfies we take, all the content we're putting out there into the world both personally and professionally really do speak to the types of relationships that we want both personally and professionally.
Impression Management, and creating great relationships, is about consciously putting into the world content that speaks to the types of relationships you want.
No matter what you do in business, you're about more than just the sale.
Now does that mean that everybody's going to receive your impression perfectly?
But people will automatically begin to understand you and connect with you more which in the end will create better stronger relationships personally and professionally.
So yes, your impressions matter.
Do them with intention. Do them with purpose and trust yourself. In the end, you can have a more powerful relationships both personally and professionally just by being intentional about what you say and what you do in this world.
